Greetings, inquiring musicians!
My name is Anthony. I have been a musician for 18 years, and I have been a music instructor for about 8 years. I began my musical journey by taking guitar and piano lessons at a local music store in my hometown of Morris County, New Jersey. I immediately took to music and decided that it was what I wanted to do as a career.
I began my higher education as a music major at the County College of Morris in NJ. After graduating with an AA in Music 1190 (Theory and Composition) I transferred to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where I achieved a BM in Film Scoring and Video Game Scoring Summa Cum Laude.
In the interim, I have taught and tutored many students in a variety of musical subjects such as piano, guitar, bass, music theory, composition, arranging/orchestration, ear training, synthesis, orchestral mock-up, and production. Some of my students were able to achieve performance awards and merit such as NJ's Break ultimate band competition.
As a private music instructor, I endeavor to get my students excited to learn about music and teach according to the student's needs and interests. It doesn't matter if you come in wanting to learn classical, jazz, rock, pop, show tunes, film or video game music. There is always a curriculum to help you explore the gears of what makes those styles work, and I am more than happy to help you get there. The only tools you need are a curious mind and determination.
